With great freedom comes great procrastination. This is a phrase recently used to find my small dark corner of internet jibber jabber. I did some research on the phrase and this video called Curing Procrastination With Emotional Freedom popped up. It awoke in me a good-sized slice of intrigue, and I started to think about conflicting desires within me.
Let’s be honest, it’s conflicting desires that stop me from putting a brick through my laptop, running outside and shooting people from the windows of stolen police cars. This dynamic tension is probably a healthy conflict, or a system of checks and balances as we call it.
Yet in the video, the self-flagellating protagonist suggests veering away from the stable balance achieved in normal life and flailing headlong into actualization of the heart’s desire in a fit of face thumping abandon. What kind of anarchy would befall the world if people took it upon themselves to go out and do things? The very fabric of apathetic civilization would be rent asunder by a legion of motivated, zealous auto-bruisers.
I can only hope that people know which things to procrastinate about, otherwise we’re all doomed. Of course the non-bruising way to achieve results and forego procrastination is to use the simple phrase, “I’m going to _____ “, and then follow it up by promptly doing _____. Come on video maker lady, it’s not hard.
I have to thank you forr the efforts you’ve put in penning this website.
I’m hoping to view the same high-grade blog posts by you in the future
