Random facts

This fasting nonsense is supposed to be about detoxificating myself. So here I will jettison some facts that are swimming around my head, while I wait for the giddiness to turn to hallucinations.

1. I played Vice City a fair amount. I went to Miami. Some would argue that the fictional Vice City was based on Miami. While I managed to find some pretty seedy and sleazy places, I didn’t get to kick dollars out of any hookers, or steal a tank, or chop the heads off a bunch of revellers in a nightclub I owned. I guess the game was set a few decades ago. Looks like progress has ruined Miami.
2. I washed my hair for the first time in about 15 months today. It feels so soft and bouncy now. Off with the natural oils my hair has been busily secreting, on with the oils that come out of a bottle from some cod-awful petroleum derivative.
3. Valkyrie tidied my room for me while I was lost on my little journey. This was a supreme act of kindness that touched me deeply.
4. I am famished. I might gnaw my own leg off soon, peckish carnivore that I am.
5. I did indeed track my father down in Florida. One afternoon saw us paddling in the Atlantic, with rolled up cargo shorts (?) talking about the state of the world, like proper English folk abroad. I had a wonderful time.
6. I think the ringing in my ears caused by riding 1500+ miles on my bike has just about ceased. Well, if it hasn’t at least the deafness covers it up slightly. If only my eyes would stop rattling in my head now.
7. I think the hallucinations are starting.
