It was with a sense of pride that I watched my brother complete the last mission in the best video game ever made, Vice City. I worry about him though – he will now have that confusing mix of pride, accomplishment, and joy in his head. But then he’ll have the void. No more Vice City missions to do. No goals, ambitions. People seek structure to their time. As many before him who have finished the game, he has already thought about buying the previous games in the series, but we all know this is a sign of desperation, and will ultimately lead to disappointment and despair. I hope he pulls through, without resorting to excessive football simulation games.
