Any claims by web sites that the beach here is littered with hypodermics and condoms are unfounded. I have found only one condom on the beach in an hour. But the place is littered with dodgy characters. And a first for me – something I’ve never seen before – a man with no arms and no legs propelling himself down the sand, with a bag clasped between his teeth, asking for donations. I couldn’t quite make out what the donations were for, as he could speak very clearly, what with him having the strap of the bag clenched between his teeth.
