Once Upon a Mattress was a fine production to be associated with. It all seemed so gosh darned professional to a small country boy like me. Lights, cameras, dancers and spiffy costumes. And action. It was a pleasure to see people enjoying themselves doing something really impressive that they seemed to get a buzz from.

Hours spent driving around Austin blasting ‘Ride of the Valkyrie’ and Aphex Twin’s ‘Girl/Boy’ out of the (electric) windows, sat on plush leather upholstery. Days of connecting gauges and pipes to diagnose turbo issues. Saab 900 16V TURBO, suckers.
