One of the most mis-translated words I have come across with my limited exposure to spanish has to be ´éspecial´, especially on a menu. Far from meaning your burger / rice / tortured baby cow steak will be in any way special, unique or superlative, it actually means that the cook will throw a fried egg onto your meal at the last moment. I have yet to find my fried egg in a can of San Miguel Especial, but ?´m sure it´s only a matter of time.
