Post-hoc Rationalization

Malcolm Gladwell’s book “Blink” has got nothing on me. Get this. I randomly pick out an image for my site title bar. This time it seems I’ve chosen some kind of fish flying through the air.

Then, every time I see my site (and yes, I goog myself and look at my own site – I’m depraved), I try to figure out what it means. Here are my top of mind guesses to what I think you think it means.

  • You’re a fish out of water
  • You want to go home to spawn and/or die
  • You’re constantly swimming upstream, against the tide
  • Watch out for bears
  • It looks kind of yucky in there, I’m going to float above it.
  • You always know how to get back home

Am I wrong? What does the fish on high make you think of? Don’t be shy – tell me in the comments, reader!
