Reasons to be cheerful, part three

For the last month I’ve been training in Aikibudo at Sensei Strange’senseistrange‘s dojo. Here’s why I like it:

  • It’s fun. No two ways about it.
  • It’s free, gratis, at no cost – all you have to do is proimise to name your firstborn ‘Strange’. Other martial arts schools in the area seem to cost in the region of 90-200 dollars per month.
  • There are relatively small classes, and lots of time training with the Sensei himself, so I feel like I’m learning things faster than I otherwise would.
  • It’s fun.
  • It’s relaxed.
  • SS is a good teacher – patient, laid-back, and a jolly good fellow. He’s been training since he was eleven, and is happy to explain various martial arts and compare techniques.
  • There’s arm-twisting and rolling around and wheeling about to be had.
  • It’s a great learning environment
  • I leave feeling invigorated, with a buzz

I urge you to come try it for yourself – Sundays and Mondays at 6pm. Start now, progress high in the ranks of ninja. Contact details here.
