Reverse Culture Shock

Acording to this pamphlet about returning home after voluntary work, I may be about to experience ‘reverse culture shock’. Sixty percent of returning volunteers feel disappointed, and fifty-eight percent had difficulty talking about their experiences on their return. When I talk to my family and friends, their expressions will glaze over, and they may ask apparently stupid questions and miss the point. Allegedly as they feel guilty about not volunteering themselves, or they can’t relate to faraway experiences.
